    We have had the pleasure of working on this gorgeous property and with it’s team on some amazing weddings. The Colonial style Estate House, lakeside gazebo and beautifully landscaped gardens take you back in time and provide an elegant & romantic backdrop to your wedding. We had the opportunity to learn more about the team that makes this property come to life and help you see why we love working at this venue! {Photo via Cypress Grove}

    What is the Cypress Grove Estate House?

    “The Estate House at Cypress Grove is a vintage 1925 estate, offering stylish and stunning facilities for destination weddings, wedding receptions, cocktail parties, corporate events, and holiday celebrations. This charming colonial home sits on 80 acres of lush grounds boasting oak and cypress trees, radiant seasonal flowers, and perfectly manicured lawns, all on the cusp of Lake Jessamine.”

    What should couples expect when booking the Estate House?

    “When booking a wedding date, couples will work with either our sales manager, Cara, or event manager, Alex. They’ll walk them through our simple booking process – signing a contract and invoice and putting down a deposit. Once the date is reserved, they’ll meet with our team again about 90 days out. During the meeting, they will select linens, make their final menu choices, and begin working on the event layout.”

    What ceremony and reception options do you have?

    “While we do have indoor space available for small receptions, Cypress Grove Estate House is mainly an outdoor venue for ceremonies and receptions. Clients have access to three unique areas in our “backyard” – the Lakeside Gazebo {perfect for ceremonies}, the Grand Lawn, and the Amphitheater. Both the Grand Lawn and Amphitheater are ideal for cocktail hours or receptions.”

    What is your favorite decor trend? (Rustic, contemporary, vintage?)

    Kim {office manager} said, “I’m loving weddings that incorporate refined rustic and industrial details. Think gold framed geometrically shaped terrariums, farm tables, and greenery garland.”

    Cara {sales manager} said, “Definitely, the mixed metals look! I love the when clients incorporate copper, silver, and/or gold together. I think when paired, they just complement each other so well and go perfectly with any color palate!”

    Alex {event manager} said, “My heart melts when clients incorporate farm tables with matching chairs, garland and bold floral. It really adds to the southern feel of the property and creates a unique ambiance that is specific to Cypress Grove.”

    What is your favorite part of having a wedding in the Estate House?

    Kim said, “All the photo opportunities! The Estate House is located inside of an 80-acre park that sits right on the shores of Lake Jessamine. It boasts a stunning rose garden, Cypress Trees with romantic Spanish Moss, and a tree lined drive perfect for portraits.”

    Cara said, “Although we are usually geared towards the more southern and rustic look, I love that each wedding still turns out completely unique! Seeing the look on our couple’s faces when everything comes together after months of planning is always the best part of what we do. Most of all, The Estate House and surrounding grounds are so beautiful in so many ways, you can’t beat it!”

    What is one tip you can give to a couple looking to book a venue?

    “Book your venue early, especially for an outdoor location like Cypress Grove. Our prime seasons are Winter and Spring, and weekend dates for those months book up very quickly.”
