DJ Live Productions is a team of highly trained and experienced wedding DJs serving the Central Florida area. Led by Austin, owner of DJ Live Productions, this team is sure to deliver a quality product every single time. They have truly become dear friends of Plan It. Our favorite part of working with them? They are not divas! They play great music that keeps the dance floor packed and always focuses on what the couple wants for their big day. This month we had a chance to get to know more about the company behind this team, here’s what we learned:
– How did DJ Live Productions get started?
DJ Live Productions got started about 10 years ago. We started out very small and only did a few events every year. We began to grow from every year and earned the trust of other Central Florida vendors. Little by little, we added more and more services and expanded our team. We are proud to have 8 DJ’s now and 4 trucks in our fleet and do 15-20 weddings a month, growing every year.Our goal is to earn the trust of every couple and vendor we meet in Central Florida.
– What should couples expect when hiring your team?
When you hire our team to DJ an event, you get professionalism, courtesy, and customer service. We get back to all of our customers within a few hours of an email and or phone call. There is no such thing as a “standard” wedding with us. Every wedding is unique in its own way. We know that the couple has trusted us with all of their music needs and entertainment of their guests that have come to share their big day with them. Every wedding we do, our goal is to have the couple and their guests talking about how great their wedding was for years to come. Also, we want to make sure every wedding has a great flow to it and is memorable.

– What is your favorite lighting trend right now?
DJ Live has the most state of the art lighting system on the market. Our lights are controlled via tablet, and the lights themselves are small but very powerful. We can do up to 720 colors, and control the lights with the beat of the music once the dance floor is open. We love a trend that is emerging, in that having a few different colors for uplighting looks amazing. Limiting the room to just one color can be a bit restrictive, but with our lights, you can tie the room together with the rest of your linen colors, or bridal party colors. Having 2 or 3 colors around the room gives any room greater depth and makes it look even more amazing! With all of our packages, we give our couples uplighting and do not upcharge them for pour lighting.
– How would you describe your style of DJing?
All of our DJ’s have their own ways to get guests out on the dance floor. We cater to what the couple wants. If the couple desires us to read the crowd and play to the crowd as a whole, we can do that as well. We get all of our couples input on the style of music they want and cater to them and their guests. There are so many things we can do to be very entertaining and makes sure their guests and the couple are having a blast.

– What is your favorite part of DJing an event?
The thing that makes our job so much fun is our couples. We love the feeling we get from every wedding knowing people have traveled from all over the world to help celebrate our couples big day! The thrill of making people dance and have a great time is amazing! Watching the dance floor come to life, and everyone celebrating the couples big day is the reason we do what we do!
– What is one tip you could give to someone looking for a DJ and lighting team?
If there is one tip we give to all couples we meet, is follow what your gut tells you. If a DJ company comes in at a very low price, there is probably a reason for that. Make sure you book early. If you call around for too long you might just lose that company that you do want. Also, when you have narrowed down your choices, take a look online and read reviews to see what others are saying about them.
