Kyrstin & Kenny – November 6, 2015 – Up the Creek Farms
Have you ever been to Up the Creek Farms? If not, you need to go! It’s a quaint, peaceful setting, perfect for a Melbourne Wedding! We loved the rustic feel of this newer venue, allowing a pretty blank canvas for the couple to have the wedding of their dreams.
When Kyrstin first booked her venue, she really liked the idea of a blank slate. So much so, that she booked it before it was even finished being built. Talk about a leap of faith! When we came on board, we were very excited to work at this gorgeous new venue, all while helping Kyrstin tie together the rustic design she had started. We attended tastings, vendor meetings & walk thrus throughout the planning process to make sure every detail was covered!
It was a beautiful November day for a Melbourne Wedding. There was a light breeze and the sun was shining bright as guests arrived on property (not too far from the beach). Guests were seated on the rustic benches on the paved ceremony patio. The decor was simple, with a vintage chandelier at the front of the aisle and galvanized pails full of hydrangeas lining the aisle. The ceremony, performed by a family friend, was short & sweet, yet meaningful! Our favorite part was that the Maid of Honor surprised the couple with a live artist to paint the ceremony scene as their gift!
After the breathtaking sunset photo session with the newlyweds was complete, the huge sliding doors opened for guests to enter the boathouse for the reception. The room was decorated in hues of coral, navy & ivory. Tables had small details that went perfectly with the rustic theme. Door knob table numbers, mason jar water glasses and baby’s breath helped complete the look of this Melbourne wedding. Guests enjoyed DELICIOUS barbecue from 4Rivers, danced to their favorite songs and enjoyed a session or two in the photobooth!
Kyrstin & Kenny, a huge THANK YOU for letting us be a part of the planning process with you. We really enjoyed working with your vendors, while making your dream Melbourne wedding come to life! All the best! XO, L&L
