Erika & Lucas – Bella Collina – September 28, 2014
It was a gorgeous day for a Bella Collina Wedding. That is, right up until the ceremony. Mother Nature had other plans for this wedding, but we didn’t let it stop this beautiful marriage from happening!
Erika was getting ready with her bridesmaids and Lucas was busy with his guys playing pool. We were helping make ‘Plan B’ come together in the beautiful brick atrium, since the weather predicted it would be raining around ceremony time. The weather was accurate–and it not only rained, the torrential downpours were coming in sideways with gusty winds! The team pulled everything together as best we could, and with a slight rain delay, the ceremony began (and the rain finally calmed down!).
The breathtaking decor included the floral arch with ivory & purple hydrangeas. It was the perfect backdrop for the couple to say their ‘I Dos’, and added to the Tuscan elegance of the venue perfectly. After the heartfelt ceremony performed by Erika’s uncle concluded, guests were welcomed into the clubhouse to stay dry & for the party to begin!
It wasn’t long before the rain made another appearance towards the end of cocktail hour, but the newlyweds were still able to get the must-have photos by the bridge at Bella Collina! Guests enjoyed the fun props in the Photo Booth, the awesome music and delicious food. The clubhouse’s rich wooden tables were simply decorated, as this venue is enough decor on it’s own. Centerpieces consisted of bouquets that matched the bridesmaids’ bouquets surrounded childhood photos of the Bride & Groom. Glowing candles also added the romantic ambiance of the space.
My favorite part of the entire evening was how calm the couple stayed throughout the chaos. It is easy to get all caught up in the fact that things didn’t go as planned with the weather being so bad, but this couple stayed calm and kept their eyes on the end prize!
Erika & Lucas, THANK YOU for letting Plan It be part of your very special day! We were honored to work with your awesome vendor team. All the best XOXO
